JAMMU, Aug 22: Murtaza Ahmed Khan, former MLC from Mendhar and Sanam Raina and Kuldeep Manhas, prominent social activists from Nowshera and Sunderbani, along with hundreds of people from the Nowshera and Kalakote-Sunderbani constituencies, joined the BJP at the party Headquarters at two separate programmes here, today.
G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister and J&K Assembly Election In-Charge, Tarun Chugh, national general secretary and J&K Prabhari, Ravinder Raina, president, J&K BJP and Jugal Kishore Sharma, Lok Sabha MP BJP welcomed the Murtaza Ahmed Khan into the party fold.
Ravinder Raina, on the occasion, highlighted the positive impact of the BJP’s development-oriented policies in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that prominent people from every field and from every area are joining the BJP every day, trusting the policies of the Modi Government.
Murtaza Khan complimented all the BJP leaders for their warm welcome in the party. He specially complimented Union Home Minister, Amit Shah for his pivotal role in granting Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to the Gujjar and Pahari communities, a longstanding demand that was finally fulfilled under the BJP’s leadership. He assured that the BJP would continue to work for the upliftment of all communities in Jammu and Kashmir, urging people to look beyond regional politics and recognize the broader vision for progress and unity that the BJP represents.
In another programme Sanam Raina and Kuldeep Manhas prominent social activists from Nowshera and Sunderbani also joined the party in presence of BJP president Ravinder Raina.
Ravinder Raina, congratulated them on their decision to join the BJP. He recalled a key issue highlighted by Sanam Raina regarding the construction of a bridge from Bareri to Hunjana Thakra and informed that Rs 10 crore have been sanctioned for the bridge, on which work is underway.
J&K BJP SC Morcha president, Neelam Langeh was also present on the occasion.
Ravinder Raina, said that the BJP has not discriminated against any community, as Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s Government works with the slogan of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.” He credited the BJP Government for the construction of bunkers in the Nowshera area and noted that while previous NC and Congress governments failed to build a bridge over the drain between Raipur Bata and Qila Darhal, the BJP Government has fulfilled this long-standing demand, and construction is now in progress.
