POONCH, May 6: In order to asses the needs and problems of the far-flung area’s public, the former MLC and presently state WAKF Council member, Dr Shehnaz Ganai visited Loran village of Tehsil Mandi.
The public warmly welcomed former Legislator. On this occasion, many public deputations comprising of men and women from far flung Panchayats of Bela Bala and Buttlekote met the leader of masses. The public described the need of adequate ration and kerosene oil’s supply during the forthcoming holy fasting month of Ramadaan.
People of these Panchayats also told their dearest leader about the problems of firewood and cattles grazing after the inclusion of the area under wild life sanctuary. One deputation of old-age widows belonging to BPL category also approached her to get their houses repaired by the district administration under IAY scheme.
After listening to the problems of the public, she then talked to the higher authorities of the wild life, food and supplies and Revenue Departments for the early redressal of their problems. The officers responded positively and allowed the people living close to wild life sanctuary areas to get the firewood and other requirements of their cattle. CAPD officers also assured her for adequate supply o ration and kerosene during the holy month of Ramadaan.
Meanwhile, Ex-MLC also visited the renowned Sufi Dargah of Sain Ilahi Bhakhash Sahib on the occasion the annual Urs of the Sufi saint and prayed before the Almighty for the peace, tranquility and safety of the area and the State. She congratulated Tehsildar Mandi and his associates for good arrangements to facilitate the Urs pilgrims.
