JAMMU, Nov 21: Former MLC and chief spokesperson of Congress Party, Ravinder Sharma has expressed serious concern over the plight of farmers in Rajouri district who are not being provided adequate quantity of seed.
In a press statement here, Sharma said that the field reports appearing in the media as well as his interactions with farmers in the area, have suggested that the farmers are not getting the required quota of seeds in different parts of the district and they are waiting for supply of adequate quantity of seed to meet their requirement.
Sharma said that farmers are backbone of our rural economy and food chain as they are the producers of our food, the Govt should take special care of timely and adequate supply of seed and fertilizer to them.
