Ex-Policemen discuss demands

RAJOURI, July 15: Ex-Policemen Forum held a meeting under the district president Om Parkash, in which large number of Retired Police personnel participated wherein they discussed their demands.
A comprehensive discussion on the issues pertaining to welfare of Ex-Police personnel forum was held in the meeting.
The meeting highlighted various demands including reservation in recruitment quota for wards of retired police personnel, enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month, release of DA installment due from January 2014  at par with Central Department employees, Medical reimbursement of Medical bills in respect to retired police personnel family members etc.
Others demands highlighted in the meeting were one rank one pension as per pattern of Army as recently announced by the Central Government, preference to be given in the engagement of retired police personnel wards as Special Police Officers . They said most of retired Personnel are facing chronic diseases and they have need of help from welfare fund of Police department and a special attention needs to be paid by higher authorities in this regard.
In the meeting it was unanimously stressed that the attention of DG police for organizing meetings of retired Police Personal every month in police lines, Rajouri for adhering the grievances of retired personal.
