JAMMU, June 11: Ex-Policemen League Jammu held a meeting, which was presided over by SK Arora and arranged by Sham Sher Bhagat, General Secretary.
The meeting was attended by League’s executive members, advisors and members.
During the meeting, various issues came up for discussion which included introducing OROP extension to welfare schemes, providing of plots/flats in Police Colonies, re-imbursement of medical bills and treatment, reservation in police recruitment, adequate scholarships and educational loan at 0% interest sponsoring children of police personnel in professional colleges/universities, providing succor by adjusting jobless wards, expediting the revised pensions as per anomalies, allocation of funds for respectful and dignified life in respect of marriage of wards and performing last rites, etc.
