JAMMU, Sept 7: Ex-Policemen League today held monthly meeting at District Police Lines (DPL), which was presided over by its president KS Sambyal.
During the meeting, members said that league has urged DGP to take up the matter of revival of SRO 458 with the Government as SRO protects and takes care of all the problems of retired police personnel.
While speaking, Sambyal demanded re-imbursement of medical claim to the ailing retired police personnel, 5 per cent reservation in police recruitment to the wards of the retired police personnel and suitable accommodation for the league office in DPL with 50 to 70 chairs.
Among others present were Chirag-ud-Din, PL Mattoo, Makhan Lal Sharma, Bachan Singh, RK Bali, Inder Mohan Bakshi, Dharam Singh Chib, VP Gupta, etc.
