JAMMU, Apr 18: Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu, Sanjay Dhar today acquitted Dr Mohan Singh Sethi, the then Registrar Board of Ayurvedic Unani System of Medicines, who was booked by the Crime Branch for issuing fake and fictitious registration certificates in favour of unqualified persons on the basis of professional experience which has been banned by Council of Indian System of Medicines for the last 17 years.
After going through discussion of evidence on record, court observed, “it is clear that prosecution has failed to establish the charges relating to cheating, forgery, causing disappearance of record and misuse of official position against accused”.
Accordingly, court acquitted the accused of the charges and the chargesheet was dismissed.
