AKHNOOR, Aug 27: Ex-servicemen Association of Akhnoor discussed the burning issues of the retired Defence personnel in a meeting held here today.
The meeting in this connection, was held under the chairmanship of Naval veteran, Lakhbir Singh which was attended by a large number of ex-servicemen of the area. It was organized by Raghubir Singh and presided over by Capt (Retd) Santosh Kumar, its president.
The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss the solution with regard to disparities in pension, implementation of OROP-II, facilities in ECHS, CSD Canteen, equal MSP, equal disability pension, widow pension etc.
All the Ex-servicemen extended their support to the agitating Ex-servicemen at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, who are struggling for their genuine demands. They also accorded support for Sarore Toll Plaza, Property Tax and Smart Meters in Jammu and Kashmir.
