KATHUA, Apr 3: To get the justice in One Rank One Pension,  the Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association took out protest rally here today. The rally was led by its Chairman  Capt (retd) Gian Singh Pathania and president Manohar Lal.
It started from College road Kathua and proceeded to DC Office Complex, Kathua.  Numbers of the Ex-Servicemen and war widow’s joined the rally.
They were demanding to clear the disparities created in One Rank One Pension and Lower Rank Ex-servicemen pension is less than what they deserve. They also submitted a memorandum of demands to Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Rahul Pandey to register their demands.
President Manohar Lal said that “We have fought number of wars on the risk of life for the sake of our motherland, but the Government gave rewards to only officers, the JCOs and soldiers were ignored . We were not given the equal pension as per our ranks. Even the pension of war widows were declined instead to get enhancement.
They appealed the PM Modi to make a revision of One Rank One Pension and clear all disparities and give justice to them. Numbers of war widows also participated in the rally.
