Refer news item ‘Sweets exchanged at IB, not LoC’ DE Nov 5.
There was no fun in exchanging sweets when bullets are fired on innocent people. Many lives and cattle life was perished when Pakistan Army hailed bullets on border people. They got uprooted from their home and had to migrate to safer places.
Sweets are exchanged only when people share each others weal and woes. The taste sweet when bonhomie prevails among people.
But no such atmosphere prevails at border. Pak army is bent on creating bad blood and trying to succeed in its nefarious designs. It does not want to improve relations with India. Rather it is patron of militancy in India. And sweets served in this atmosphere will taste only bitter. No need of such exchange of such sweets.
