LAKHANPUR, Aug 4: In order to review the functioning of the Toll Post Lakhanpur as well as the minor Toll Posts, Tsering Angchok, Excise Commissioner today visited the Toll Post Lakhanpur and reviewed the functioning there, including revenue realization.
Rajesh Sharma, Deputy Excise Commissioner Toll Post Lakhanpur, highlighted the achievements of the Toll Post and informed that Revenue amounting to Rs. 16442.60 lakh has been realized for the period ending July 2015 in comparison to Rs. 14854.15 lakhs realized during corresponding period of pervious year.
The Excise Commissioner instructed the staff to intensify the drive against defaulters/evaders and make all possible efforts not only to achieve the fixed target but to surpass the same. He further instructed to strengthen the public grievances Redressal Cell at the Toll Post to address the problems of the drivers/dealers, if any, in an expeditious manner.
The Excise Commissioner later visited the minor Toll Posts Thein/Govindsar and reviewed the functioning. He enjoined upon the staff to intensify physical checking of vehicles in order to book the evaders and encourage genuine tax payers.
