Excise sleuths conduct raids in Kathua, 1100 kgs of lahan destroyed

KATHUA, Oct 28: The Excise Department has destroyed 1100 kgs of lahan, raw material of illicit liquor which is highly hazardous and injurious for health recovered from various villages of  Kathua district during the raid conducted by its sleuths today.
The raid was conducted by a team of Excise Department’s Kathua Wing led by ETO Excise Range Kathua, Vikas Anand & Inspectors Excise Arun Kumar, Sanjeev Khajuria along with Excise staff Kathua in the villages of Jaraie, Jakhbar Dhambra & Chakdrab Khan of the district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor.
