BHADERWAH, Dec 2: An excursion of youths from Bhaderwah to Mumbai and Pune was flagged-off from Tourist Reception Centre, Bhaderwah, here today.
Organized by Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhaderwah under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Delta), the tour was flagged-off by Deputy Commander Rashtriya Rifles, Doda Sector and Professor Basharat Iqbal, Officiating Principal, Government Degree College, Bhaderwah and other civilian dignitaries.
The duration of the tour is 15 days and the students would return to Bhaderwah on December 16. The itinerary involves visit to places of historical importance and tourist interest in Mumbai and Pune (Maharashtra). The aim of the tour is to broaden the horizon of the youth by showcasing the many facets of Maharashtra and give them an opportunity to compare themselves with the students of other states.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commander RR, Doda Sector and Professor Basharat Iqbal, Officiating Principal, GDC, Bhaderwah, suggested the youth to gather rich cultural heritage of India during the tour and spread the message of peace and national integration.
