Exhibition at Jammu Haat reflects skills of women artists

JAMMU, Oct 20: Women here have displayed their art and skill in bags made of Khadi, beautifully decorated earthen lamps etc at an exhibition organized at Jammu Haat.
Stalls of many entrepreneurs and government departments are there at the exhibition organized by J&K Department of Industries and Commerce.
A stall for ways to grow plant at roof top and at other places where space is less is also there along with those by some boutiques with discounts on certain items.
Pure honey, pickles and other such things were there at still other stalls.
A young entrepreneur, Priya Jain at the exhibition had her resin art stall wherein she had displayed wall art works, clock art, table tops, geode etc.
“I learnt this art during lockdown and now my work is before the public of Jammu,” she said.
Embroidery works, reuse motivational works, specially made baskets which were once traditionally used now given a new look by fixing lights in them etc were other special features of the exhibition.
