NEW DELHI, Jan 31: Battery manufacturer Exide Industries today reported a 25.42 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 97.23 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 77.52 crore in the same period last fiscal, it said in a BSE filing.
Net sales during the period under review stood at Rs 1,557.9 crore as against Rs 1,301.41 crore in the year-ago period.
The company said during the quarter its cost of raw materials consumed increased by 4.6 per cent to Rs 967.91 crore as against Rs 925.22 crore in the same period last fiscal. (PTI)
