Expedite updation of LPG connections : KTMF

SRINAGAR, Oct 19: The Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) have urged the State Government to provide LPG cylinders according to the previous schedule. The Federation has also impressed upon the need to expedite the process of updating the gas connections to the consumers.
In a statement, Bashir Ahmad Kongposh, general secretary, KTMF said that as the winter season is approaching the State Government should provide more subsidized gas cylinders so that the people don’t face problems. He said that the curtailment schedule announced by the Power Development Department has added to the miseries of the masses.
Bashir said that just one lakh LPG connections have so far been updated in the Kashmir valley adding that more than eight lakh connections are yet to be updated. He said the gas companies should double their efforts so that the process of updating the LPG connections is completed quickly.
