JAMMU, Apr 11: Expendi-ture Observer for 5-Jammu Parliamentary Constituency (PC), Samatha Mullamudi today conducted inspections of various polling stations in R.S. Pura, Suchetgarh, Arnia and Bishnah.
During her visit to Simbal Chowk, the Expenditure Observer commended FST Magistrate, Ateeksha Sethi for seizing Rs. 13.00 lakh cash during the elections.
The Observer also inspected a critical polling booth at Model Panchayat Jeora in Tehsil R.S. Pura, Suchetgarh, accompanied by SHO R.S. Pura, Navin Angral, during the visit.
The Observer gave instructions to Static Surveillance Teams (SSTs) and Flying Squad Teams (FSTs) to ensure proper vigilance and adherence to election norms.
In Bishnah, the Expenditure Observer interacted with SSTs and took first hand appraisal of their functioning.
During an inspection at a wine shop in Arnia, the Expenditure Observer, along with SHO Arnia Rouf Ahmad Khan, suspected unaccounted liquor stock. As a result, instructions were issued to concerned Magistrate, SHO Arnia, and FST to take necessary action in consultation with Excise Department.
Furthermore, in Arnia, the Observer observed an SST working jointly with personnel from the Border Police Post. As a strategic measure, the SST Naka was relocated to a strategic point at Changia, following an order from the relevant authority.
