Expired drugs worth Rs 80,000 seized

SRINAGAR, July 6: Police in North Kashmir today seized expired medicines worth Rs 80,000 from Pattan.
A police spokesman said that after receiving complaint from a person, Mehraj-ud-Din Khanday son of Habibullah Khanday resident of Zangam against the medical store owner M/S Qadri Medicate owned by Mohammad Aslam Qadri son of Ghulam Mohammad Qadri resident of Poshwani Pattan regarding the sale and supply of expired medicines to patients, police conducted raids in Pattan area.
A team constituted under the supervision of SDPO Pattan, headed by SHO Police Station Pattan Inspector Mehboob Banday police party raided various medical stores at Pattan and seized expired medicines worth more than Rs 80000.
In this regard the case (FIR No.161/2013) was registered in Police Station Pattan.
