Explosion outside journalist’s house in Bishnah; police rule out foul play

JAMMU, Aug 1: A loud explosion was heard outside a journalist’s house in Bishnah area here today, with police ruling out any foul play.
Journalist Govind Chouhan, who works for State Samachar newspaper, was present at his residence at Chak Avtara in Bishnah area when he heard a loud sound outside his home.
“The explosion was so powerful that it shattered one of the mirrors of my parked vehicle,” Chouhan said.
SSP Jammu, Dr Vinod Kumar, has ruled out any foul play, stating that the preliminary investigation reveals no suspicious activity.
He suggested that the explosion might have resulted from a stone or marble accidentally striking the vehicle.
Further investigations are ongoing.
