Extend aid

Refer news items ‘Dozen houses collapse, 2 killed’ DE Aug 6.
The rains during last few days have caused immense loss of property and human life. Some people have been rendered homeless, and some have lost their kith and kin.
Though no amount could compensate human loss, it becomes responsibility of the Government and other aid agencies to extend humanitarian relief to the flood victims so that they can restart their life with dignity.
It has been experienced most of the times that aid reaches to the victims very late, which does not serve any purpose. The sufferers usually belong to economically weakers sections of the society who even do not a have a voice to raise their issues before the concerned officers. They usually remain at the mercy of their representatives or the administration. The representatives  usually remain absent during the hour of crisis. They turn up only when they  need votes.
