Extend Ayushman Bharat for migrants living outside: KPC

JAMMU, Oct 16: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) while expressing its satisfaction over the decision of the Central Government led by Narendra Modi and Lt. Governor J&K, Manoj Sinha for extending the various Central welfare schemes to Kashmiri displaced people residing at Jammu which include Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana has demanded that these schemes be extended to all Kashmiri displaced people residing at Delhi ,Pune, Banglore and other parts of the country.
Kundan Kashmiri, president KPC, while appealing the Government to cover all Kashmiri migrants under the Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance and other welfare schemes to Delhi, NCR based displaced people as well as to other migrants residing staying in other parts of India who are not in a position to come Jammu for the purpose due to COVID-19.
He also hoped that the present regime at the Centre will address all the genuine and long pending demands of the displaced KPs which included providing compensation up to the tune of Rs fifty lakhs each displaced family against the left over property in the Valley, special recruitment in Central Government Departments for displaced KP youth, the over aged KP youth who have crossed their age during exile should be given one time compensation of Rs twenty five lakh and free loan of twenty five lakh to over-aged youth so that they can start some small business to earn their livelihood.
Tej Pandita, vice president KPC and Dr, H L Saraf its general secretary also addressed the meeting.
