In a press statement JCCI president Arun Gupta said that they were surprised to know that NCSS registration portal has been closed about two months in advance by the Government for inviting investment in the Industrial sector in J&K UT against the Central package of incentives worth Rs 28,400 crores. He said that Government must review its decision.
He appealed the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to take up the issue for restoring the window for availing the above Central package and also requested for enhancement of the amount of package at-least upto Rs 1.00 lakh crores and the window should be kept open upto 2028.
JCCI president also welcomed the decision of the Administrative Council headed by LG regarding approving revised policy on “Gair Mumkin Khads” which was the long pending demand of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu. Arun Gupta said that the Chamber had time and again taken up the issue that where no water bodies are passing through these lands the registration and construction activities should be allowed. He also said that the decision shall pave way for establishment of new industries on these lands.
Gupta further said that as per the decision of administrative council, the concerned Dy Commissioners shall delineate upto 200 kanals per khasra on the recommendations of the district level committee while as Divisional Commissioner can delineate 200 to 500 kanals per khasra and all other proposals/cases shall be approved by the UT level committee. He appealed the concerned Dy Commissioners, Divisional Commissioner as well as UT level committee that this process should be carried on without any hindrance and in a transparent manner.
He also appreciated the announcement of the LG wherein, he has directed the officials to expedite the pending grievances of the people on fast track basis. He also demanded that Government should constitute a grievance redressal committee to resolve the issue of excess billing of PDD consumers of smart metered areas at the earliest.
