POONCH, Apr 25: As a regular feature of college activities, an extension lecture was organized by Mendhar Chemical Society in collaboration with Women Development Cell, Government Degree College Mendhar.
Azra Mufti, an author of two books Tearful Pages and Shattered Dreams delivered an interesting, meaningful and thought provoking lecture on “Women Empowerment in Indian Context: Opportunities and Challenges”.
Dr Abdul Raouf, Convener IQAC, Dr Mohammad Shafi, Dr Rehfit Naaz, Convener, Women Development Cell, Dr Jameel Ahmed amongst other staff members of the college and students were present on the occasion. Sahiba Mufti, research scholar, BGSBU also graced the occasion with her presence.
Earlier, Dr Shakeel Ahmed, Assistant Professor of Chemistry presented the welcome address.
In the end, Prof Shokit Hussain, Head of Department Chemistry and President Mendhar Chemical Society proposed vote of thanks.
