UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: 23rd eye and dental medical camp was organized by ex Capt Sham Lal Khajuria of Udhampur, with the help of Rotary Eye Hospital in Lalli Dabar of Mongri tehsil Udhampur.
In the camp, a large number of cataract patients in that area were identified, who will be further examined and operated in Rotary Eye Hospital. This camp was completely free for the patients, who were also provided free medicines.
Preeti Khajuria, ex Councillor, said that eye camps are the most effective way to provide eye care services to a large number of people in a short time.
Preeti Khajuria further said that she has been organizing free medical camps for the people of this area every year for the last 22 years so that people have to travel as little as possible to the city for eye treatment. This time around 375 patients came to this camp and 45 of them were suffering from cataract. Like every year, this time also free Langar was organized for public.
Preeti Khajuria said that we have some responsibilities towards the society in which we live, which we can fulfil in any way so that the society can get maximum benefit. In the last 22 years, apart from eye camps, many medical camps have been organized in which free medicines are also given so that our people can stay healthy, she added.
Medical team, led by Labhansh Gupta, Dental Consultant; Mukesh Yadav, Optometrist; Sobagya Mahajan, Optometrist; Anil Gupta, HR Manager cum PRO; Ved Prakash, OPD Atd; Vijay Kumar apart from prominent Ashwani Khajuria, ex Councillor; Surjeet Singh, Harvinder Singh, Manisha, Ranjeet, Saksham Seth, Kartik and Aryan were present from Udhampur.
