Eye camp organised

JAMMU, Sept 24: An eye camp was held in Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission, Charitable Hospital, Ambphalla, here today, wherein 30 inmates of Kushat Ashram, Bhagwati Nagar, were screened for various eye ailments.
Out of these 30 patients, one was found to be having cataract requiring surgery in due course of time whereas nine cases were found to be having refractive errors including presbiopia, which require glasses for proper vision and are being provided with appropriate spectacles.
Twenty cases with various ailments were prescribed and provided appropriate medicines. The examination of the patients was conducted by Dr RK Mengi, senior consultant and retired Prof and Head of the Department of Ophthalmology, Government Medical College, Jammu.
