MENDHAR, May 14: The students of 11th standard from Govt Higher Secondary School Bhata Durian today staged protest after over 100 students were reportedly failed in examination the result of which was declared by the school authorities, in district Poonch on Friday.
The students of Government Higher Secondary School, Bhata Durian, Mendhar who got failed in 11th standard this morning staged protest and blocked Jammu -Poonch highway for over one and half hour. The students alleged that the school teachers failed 102 students of class 11th out of total 220 just for the sake of saving their annual increments.
The raised barricades on the highway and disrupted movement of vehicles from 10 am to 11.30 am. They raised slogans against Principal and lecturers of the school. Later, SHO Gursai and Naib Tehsildar concerned reached there. They pacified the students and assured to take up the matter with the Principal. The boys then lifted dharna.
