Failed Cong dividing people on communal basis: Yudhvir

JAMMU, June 5: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) vice president, Yudhvir Sethi today said that talks and terror cannot go together.
Addressing intellectuals meet organised as part of party’s mass contact programme here ,Yudhvir said “if Pakistan has any intentions to hold talks with India, it has to shun the path of violence and restore peace on borders. The way it backstabbed India after DGMO levels talks, Pakistan for the moment needs a befitting reply’’.
Yudhvir  Sethi  who was the chief guest in the meet said Pakistan had been aiding and abetting terrorism and misguiding youth of Kashmir to keep the pot boiling.
Pakistan, Yudhvir said stands exposed at international fora and even its former Prime Minister recently admitted that PM Narendra Modi’s and India’s foreign policy had isolated their nation. Today all three forces of India including Army, Navy and Air Force have been modernized, provided with better weaponry and given a free hand to deal with terrorism which has given a boost to the morale of Indian forces, he added.
On the economic front, India has rewritten a new script where inflation has come down, foreign reserves increased, and tax system like GST have simplified ease of doing business. It was because of GST and demonetization that black money was checked, he added.
Successive victories of BJP in all States and acceptance of new tax regimes speaks of the fact that country wants a change and have written Congress off.  Failed Congress on the other hand is trying to divide people on communal lines and is using region and religion as tool to affect in its nefarious designs, Yudhvir asserted.
Omi Khajuria, BJP Distt President Rural Jammu said schemes like Jan Dhan, Ujjawalla Yojana, PMAY and Swatch Bharat Abhiyaan are flagship programmes of BJP led Government at the Centre which intends to give people of India an honourable life.
He further said the nation has virtually rejected Congress and its allies who were dividing people and now that a new era has dawned and India is going to see massive socio-economic growth in days to come.
Among others present included senior leaders from the party Nand Kishore, Bharat Bhushan,Vikas Chowdhary, Neetu Verma, Kamal Salathia ,Yashpal Seth,Neelkant ,Babu Ram and others.
