JAMMU, June 1: The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DF&SS) here today under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta organized a protest rally against the failure of Traffic Department which led to the death of 22 people in Akhnoor bus accident in which 57 others were injured.
Speaking on the occasion Gupta stated that J&K Transport Department on Friday suspended six officials including a Motor Vehicle Inspector posted in Kathua district, the gateway to Jammu but responsibility has to be fixed.
“The private bus which fell into the gorge was carrying passengers more than twice its capacity,” he maintained adding: “The Transport Department and Police are at fault for failing to curb the practice of overloading.”
The Shiv Sena leader further said that an FIR should be registered against the Police officials and officials of Traffic Department and they should be punished appropriately.
Abhishek, Prem, Bantu, Kalu, Vinay, Vijay, Sham, Hussain, Tarik and many others were also present in the protest rally.
