Fairoz Khan appointed as Working President of J&K Youth Congress

JAMMU, Apr 11: Fairoz Khan, former National President of NSUI, has been appointed as State Working President of Pradesh Youth Congress J&K.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi approved appointment of Fairoz Khan as the new State Working President of Youth Congress J&K. This decision was announced today by Srinivas BV, National President Indian Youth Congress.
Fairoz Khan comes from a non-political family in village Pogal, Tehsil Pogal Paristan Ukhral in district Ramban. He did his Graduation (B Sc) from Bhaderwah Degree College and plunged into politics. He studied Law from Jammu University in 2012 followed by Masters in Political Science. Presently,
He joined NSUI in 2006 and was appointed National Secretary of the Congress Party student wing in 2012, from a field of 120 candidates, following the final approval of Rahul Gandhi. In 2017, he was sworn in as the 17th National president of the NSUI. He was the first from Jammu & Kashmir to hold this post.
