JAMMU, Sept 4: A delegation of Federation of All India Vyopar Mandal (FAIVM) led by its J&K president, Sanjay Bansal met Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Raghav Langer; Deputy Commissioner, Anshul Garg and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Satish Sharma and apprised them about the current situation of trade and traders in J&K after COVID-19.
The delegation submitted memorandum of their demands and expressed apprehension that if Reliance Group and other big corporate groups enter J&K and start their business here then it will be very tough for the traders to compete with them and survive such competition with the big players.
Bansal said that J&K LG, Manoj Sinha had assured Jammuites that Centre has promised prosperity of J&K after abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A.
He requested that the Divisional Commissioner and DC should look into the matter and stop the big corporate retail houses to safeguard local traders.
The delegation also demanded start of Trader’s Credit Card like Kissan Credit Card to stabilize small traders.
The delegation comprised of FAIVM vice-president, Sandeep Mengi; treasurer, Ajay Ahuja; general secretary, Subhash Nanda and Media Head, Sundeep Bhat.
