KATRA, Jan 20: Four persons of a family were injured when their car met with an accident near Nou Devian, while a male pilgrim from Gujarat died of cardiac arrest during his stay at a hotel in Katra, here today.
Reports said that the accident took place around 1615 hrs near Nou Deviyan Katra when a K10 Maruti Alto, bearing registration number JK20-4879 and going from Reasi to Jammu, rolled down into road side.
The injured, identified as Gurudayal Sharma (36), son of Dewan Chand of Pouni Kana, Reasi, his wife Asha Devi (32), their son Trigun Sharma (6), and Trinav Sharma (age one year) were shifted to CHC Katra for treatment. Meanwhile, a male pilgrim namely Parkash Bhai (55), son of Kanji Das Patel of Ahmdebad Gujarat, who was staying in Hotel Jagdambey at Railway road Katra, suddenly fell unconscious and his family members shifted him to CHC Katra where doctor declared him as brought dead.
