Speaking to the media, Ravinder Singh’s wife and uncle, along with other relatives, said that the altercation between Singh and Sharma started over a minor parking dispute.
They claimed that Kanav Sharma, son of BJP leader Chander Mohan Sharma, had snatched the keys of Singh’s scooter after the argument escalated.
According to the family, Sharma later called his friends, increasing the tension.
They suggested that Singh, who is a cancer patient, may have fired into the air out of fear for his safety, which unintentionally led to Sharma’s injury.
The family has appealed to the Jammu and Kashmir Police to conduct an impartial investigation before taking further action against Singh.
