The arrested youth’s brother said that they subsequently approached Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi and sought their help. “We sought details of the case, charge, place of detention so that legal action could be initiated,” said Inayat, adding: “however so far nothing has come to fore and the MEA is saying that the work is in progress to track down my brother,” he said.
The arrested youth’s brother claimed that the former was not involved in any illegal activity and was working according to local rules. “He also had a work permit. We want to know what the matter is,” he said, adding: “my parents have fallen ill since the arrest of his brother and are in distress.”
Inayat, the brother of Aqib, also sought the help of State Government and Police in taking up the matter with MEA. “We appeal Chief Minister and DGP to personally intervene in the matter so that we could at least locate our brother,” he said.
