Farewell for VC SKUAST-K

SRINAGAR, July 22: Governor N. N Vohra, who is the Chancellor of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Kashmir (SKUAST-K) hosted a farewell at the Raj Bhavan for Dr. Tej Pratap, Vice Chancellor of the University, who completes his 5 year tenure at the end of this week.
Eight other Vice Chancellors of the Central, State and non-State Universities, and senior State Government officers who are associated with the functioning of the varsities, were present on the occasion.
The Chancellor re-iterated the crucial importance of the role to be played by Universities and institutions of higher learning and research in advancing the goals of nation building. In this context, he appreciated Dr. Pratap’s contribution in developing SKUAST-K as a fast emerging frontline institution and wished him good health and many years of useful work ahead.
