KATHUA, Oct 9: Former minister and president DCC Kathua, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma has termed the recently passed Farm Bills as ‘anti-farmer’ and said that the same could lead to exploitation of farmers by big players.
Speaking at a public meeting in Dayala Chak, Dr Sharma said the legislation does not guarantee acquisition of farm produce at minimum support price thus leaving the farmers at the mercy of big players as the new legislation promotes contract farming.
