Farmers empowerment priority of Modi Government: Sat, Vibodh

JAMMU, Apr 9: Under the ongoing Samajik Nyay Saptah,  district Jammu Kisan Morcha president, Raman Sharma and newly nominated Mandal president, Kisan Morcha, Arun Sharma organised Kisan Samelan in which former Minister and Ex MLA Jammu, West, Sat Sharma (CA) along with BJP JKUT general secretary, Vibodh Gupta, district president, Jammu, Pramod Kapahi and Mandal president, Talab Tillo, Keshav Chopra were the main speakers.
Addressing the Samelan, Sat Sharma said that farmer empowerment is a priority for the Modi Government.  He stated that they would make sure that the farmers do not suffer for any issue. “Growth of the nation is deeply connected to the wellbeing of the farmers and the productivity of farming. A multi-pronged approach is thus being ushered in to boost farmer welfare and enhance agricultural productivity at every stage. Farmer empowerment is a priority for the Modi Government that intends to push our nation to greater heights,” said Sat Sharma.
Vibodh Gupta said that “The Modi Government has focused on doubling farmers’ income, securing them and their endeavours, making them tech savvy, boosting agriculture research and education, and building farm-related infrastructure are some of the major goals set and being worked upon for the farmers’ welfare”, said Vibodh Gupta. He also highlighted the major schemes for the welfare of farmers launched during the Modi Government and said that BJP is always concerned about the well being of the farmers.
Pramod Kapahi and Keshav Chopra said that only BJP is concerned about the wellbeing of the farmers whereas parties like Congress who were at the helms of the country for decades never did anything for their welfare and could not even changed their lifestyle whereas Modi Government has always promoted the farmers in many ways, they added.
After the Samelan, crop damage situation was also reviewed by the leaders and they asked the administration to compensate the farmers as soon as possible in order to avoid any sort of distress to them.
Ex Sarpanch, Raj Kumar, Ganesh Sharma, Bhushan Sharma, Bhushan Lal, Darshan Verma, Pawan Choudhary, Chaman Lal, Garu Ram, Madan Lal, Arjun, Karan Kumar, Abhay Kumar and others were also present.
