KATHUA, Mar 25: The affected farmers of Taraf Bhajwal, Kathua held a protest demonstration in favour of their demands at DC Office, Kathua. The number of farmers drawn from Kandi areas, Taraf Bhajwal and other localities of Kathua area assembled at DC Office here and raised slogans in support of their demands.
The protestor inducing the Sudesh Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Chain Singh said that a grand Highway road from Agra to Katra is under process. The possession of land is also in process. But the compensation sanctioned by the authority is not at par with other places.
They alleged that the Authority is paying Rs 4 lakh for Samfel Sola and it’s adjoining areas Taraf Bhajwal people were given only Rs 2 lakh. When the land has same status then why this difference in compensation is made by the Authority. The deputation met with DC Kathua and apprised him about the difference created by the Authority. They demanded the uniformity in issuing the land compensation of Rs four lakh so that the poor farmers may not face any more loss.
