JAMMU, Oct 6: Department of Agriculture today organised a one day farmers training awareness camp at Panchayat Pindi Charkian Kalan Zone in Chak Hassal, R.S Pura.
The camp was organised under the guidance of Farooq Ahmed Bhat, Chief Agriculture Officer Jammu and Roshan Lal Bhagat, SDAO R.S Pura wherein 100 farmers participated.
Hakumat Raj Chowhan, AEO (Chak Hassal) educated the farmers on how to get better results in seed production and to have good yield by using best quality seed.
The training was mainly held on production of Basmati seeds.
Farmers were also trained on economic use of fertilizers, seeds and timely sowing the paddy crop to maintain aroma in Basmati-370 and also to maintain the purity in produce.
