Farooq Abdullah’s body in India but soul in Pakistan: Bali Bhagat

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, July 26: Criticizing National Conference (NC) patron and MP from Srinagar, Dr Farooq Abdullah for his demand to have dialogue with Pakistan, Bali Bhagat, former Minister and senior BJP leader said that his body is in India but soul in Pakistan as after regular intervals he reiterates to resume talks with Western neighbour.
In a hard hitting statement issued here, the former Minister questioned the stand of Dr Abdullah over advocating talks with Pakistan. He said what does the NC president wants to prove by again and again chanting the same old ragas of talks with Pakistan.
Bali said that the simple logic which the BJP Government led by PM, Narendra Modi has given that terror and talks cannot be held simultaneously is something which is beyond Dr Abdullah’s understanding power. He said that on one side Pakistan is attacking the country using drones and tactics used during proxy war, and on the other we go and beg for talks is next to impossible. He said that Dr Abdullah’s blind love for Pakistan cannot be allowed to put at stake the security and respect of the nation.
Bali Bhagat said that under such a situation when Pak PM, Imran Khan is brazenly speaking against India seeking time for talks will be nothing but sheer absurdity which only Dr Farooq can think of but not anyone in the Government of India.
“The precondition kept by Imran Khan for talks with India is reverting back to pre-August 5, 2019 position, which is something impossible for India and Dr Abdullah is not a naïve in politics and knows very well that talks under such conditions are not possible but to address local audience especially in Valley, he is concocting stories and indulging in political dramas which will not work under Modi regime”, he said, adding that if NC patron is so very interested in normalizing ties with Pakistan he should first ask Imran Khan to completely stop supporting terrorism in Kashmir and also shun the policy of interfering in the internal matters of India.
Bali Bhagat said that the day when Pakistan will act sanely, India will accord a warm welcome to that nation and will waste not even a jiffy in resuming talks but for this Pakistan has to take the lead.
