SRINAGAR: Minister of State for Hajj & Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi, today felicitated the people on the annual Urs of Sufi saint Baba Zain-ud-Din Wali(RA), popularly known as, Sakhi Zain-ud-Din Reshi of Aishmuqam, commencing from Sunday.
In his felicitation message, the Minister said the Zain-ud-Din Wali (RA) through his teachings preached the message of peace, love, amity and brotherhood. He said Zain-ud-Din Wali(RA) was highly revered by both Muslims and Hindus. He said the Sufi saint would plant fruit trees along the roadsides enunciating message of importance of plantation for preserving biodiversity.
Meanwhile, Andrabi directed Anantnag district administration and officials of Wakaf Board to ensure better arrangements for devotees who are expected to throng the shrine at Aishmuqam in large numbers.
