SRINAGAR, Apr 27: Continuing its tirade against National Conference (NC) leadership for deceptive politics, Peoples Conference (PC) senior vice president and former Minister, Abdul Gani Vakil today said that time has proved that Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah can go to any extent to get power.
In a statement issued here, today Vakil said, “for power, NC can even walk over the dead bodies of people of Kashmir and they will not hesitate to exploit the sentiments of common masses”.
He said that it is surprising to see Farooq Abdullah as the sympathizer of Yasin Malik while as the fact of the matter is it was Farooq Abdullah who not only banned Jamat-e-Islami during his regime but put Yasin Malik behind the bars so many times and brought POTA to Kashmir to crush descent.
Vakil said, “it was NC which introduced Task Force who created havoc in Valley and now for the sake of power, they call stone pelters as freedom fighters and at the same time Farooq Abdullah preparing his son Omar Abdullah for the post of Chief Minister and himself as member of Lok Sabha.
Vakil said that it was NC’s wrong decisions at crucial times that led to death and destruction in Kashmir and present uncertainty is the outcome of only the wrong doings of National Conference leadership.
Terming NC as turn coats Vakil asserted, “time has come to teach such people a lesson who have lust for power, so that they no more exploit the gullible people for their vested interests”.
Vakil asserted that NC is a tested failure and once in power, they can shake hands with anyone in Delhi and even RSS is not untouchable for them because they have all along been the proxies of RSS here.
