JAMMU, Nov 18: Advising the NC president Dr. Farooq Abdullah to go in public with proper homework, Jammu and Kashmir BJP president and former Minister, Sat Sharma, said that the former Chief Minister is trying to mislead the people of Jammu by levelling false charges against his party and misleading public. He (Dr Abdullah) should seek apology from the people of Jammu for his act, said Sat Sharma.
Addressing a group of party activists from Poonch at BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here, today he said that the recent allegation of Dr. Farooq Abdullah that BJP lacks concern for Jammu is totally false and misleading. He said that being in politics does not mean one can utter anything without knowing the facts. Making false statements /charges, is not a sign of healthy politics and it raises questions on the credibility of those leaders who indulge in such practices.
Sat reminded that it has been BJP only which was on forefront for real concern for Jammu in all matters and at all levels, while NC discriminated with Jammu and its people right from 50s.
“While Jammu got adequate share in the schemes and programmes of the BJP Government under PM Narendra Modi, Kashmir too has been treated equal”, Sat said, adding that discrimination with Jammu has ended during the past over 10 years.
Dr. Abdullah must know that Jammu got AIIMS, Central University, IIT, IIM, Ring Road, Smart City and Ropeway Projects, besides modernization of Jammu Railway Station, upgradation of Jammu Airport etc under BJP Government, Sat said. Refugees from West Pakistan, were denied citizenship rights only because they had settled in Jammu and it was only BJP which heard their cries and granted them all the rights similar to other citizens of the country. The Valmikis and Gorkhas of Jammu too got justice from BJP and are leading dignified lives today.
The BJP president asked the party activists in the meeting to reach the masses and expose Dr. Farooq Abdullah for his misleading campaign against BJP. He also appealed to the people of Jammu not to get misled by what Dr. Farooq Abdullah has said and utilise the available means of information and communication to highlight the achievements of BJP in Jammu.
