KHOUR, Dec 21: Former Member Parliament and president Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan, Ch Lal Singh today said that NC leader Dr Farooq Abdullah’s latest statement of providing autonomy to all the three regions of the State, is just a mockery with the people of Jammu and Ladakh.
While addressing a large public rally at Pargwal, a border town of Khour, Lal Singh strongly condemned the statement of Farooq Abdullah of complete regional autonomy to all the three regions of the State. He said Abdullah’s ruled the State for more than fifty years and never thought of the equitable development of the three regions of the State. Jammu and Ladakh were always given a step motherly treatment and the process continued till date.
Lal Singh further added that many times Farooq Abdhullah pleaded that PoK should be given to Pakistan and in order to resolve the Kashmir issue, India should talk to Pakistan. “ I pose a simple question to Farooq Abdullah that why it seems that he is much worried about Pakistan instead of Kashmir? I want to make it clear that PoK belongs to J and K and it is an integral part of the India. PoK became disputed territory only because of the wrong policies of their ancestors otherwise, it would not have been remained a disputed territory,” Lal Singh maintained.
The former MP said when the Assembly election approaches nearer, NC starts rhetoric tune of equitable development. “ What happened to NC when the Panchayat election was announced in the state? Why did they boycott the elections of Corporations? NC doesn’t have faith in the system and they are only focused to the self- centered development. When the election comes near, they start speaking the double language, one in Kashmir and the other in Jammu and when come to power, they forget every promise,” Lal Singh added.
Meanwhile, a large number of villagers joined Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan and extended full support to the Sangathan. Prominent among those who also spoke on the occasion included- Dr Hari Dutt Shishu. general secretary, Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan, Balbir Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Dr Pardeep Kumar and Narinder Bahu.
