JAMMU, July 7: “The statement of Farooq Abdullah, president, National Conference (NC) taunting and insulting our security forces in relation to the happenings on China front and the allied developments is highly diplorable”, said Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, senior BJP & KP leader and incharge Department of Political Affairs and Feedback, J&K BJP.
Chrungoo in a statement issued at Jammu today said that this sort of a political narrative on our security forces from a three time Chief Minister of the State of J&K represents the mindset of people connected with the National Conference (NC) and the likes in politics. When the national security forces and the army has been lent all kind of support by the citizens of the nation irrespective of caste, creed, religion or region in regard to their response to the China’s aggressive postures, such an obnoxious statement by Abdullah is highly and brazenly shameful and is almost short of treason.
Chrungoo said that it is always felt that Farooq Abdullah has different yardstick when in power or out of power. His vacillating political narrative has always caused damage to the national interests in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Calling Indian army and other security forces ‘incapable to deal with China’ and use of negative sarcasm about the Indian Air Force activism in Ladakh is worth serious condemnation”, Chrungoo added, “When countries like US, Japan, Israel, France, UK, Taiwan, Vietnam, Bhutan and Hongkong are rallying behind India and the Indian Government, Abdullah’s role to instigate people in Kashmir Valley is fraught with dangerous consequences and political ramifications”.
The world has appreciated the call of the PM that “the era of expansionism is over” and “the international community needs to come together for development and peace”. The statesman like attitude, commitment of a war general and the leadership responsibilities were jointly seen by the world in Modi’s tour and interaction in Ladakh with great interest and concern.
Chrungoo said that it was high time to declare the areas illegally occupied by China called as Aksai Chin, Damchok desert, Galvan Valley and Karakoram range as the “China occupied Ladakh” like “Pakistan occupied Jammu & Kashmir”.
