JAMMU, Aug 21: A fashion designing contest was held today at JD Institute, Jammu centre.
A large number of student designers presented their design collections along with the research work, illustrations and accessories. The jury members included Textile Designer, Varuna Anand from Splendour of Kashmir, Sidharth Bhatia from Bhatia Sons and Osman as well as Sajida from ‘What the fashion’.
The budding designers were closely scrutinized on the basis of design interpretation, creativity and techniques used and overall merit of the collection. The theme of this year’s show is untold stories and students have worked on various interpretations of this theme.
The result of today’s contest was sealed and the awards would be declared at the JD Annual Design Awards to be held on August 28 at the grand banquets.
Maansi Gupta, Center Director, JD Institute, Jammu and Raman Gupta, Chairman, JD Institute, Jammu, were present at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Maansi Gupta said that all the students have put in tremendous hard work and they all are winners.
