JAMMU, June 29: Multi-national fast food retail major ‘Subway’ has opened its 175th store in Katra and the inauguration was done by MP Jugal Kishore Sharma.
Baldev Sharma, Ex-MLA and promoter of Amr Group; Shashi Gupta, President MC Katra; Arvind Gupta, secretary J&K BJP; Rohit Dubey, president BJP Reasi; Shiv Sharma, BJP Executive Member J&K and Amit Nager, Area Manger Everstone Group were also present on the occasion.
A handout stated that the store will be run by Subway’s master partner in India, Everstone Group and it is located at ‘AMR Mall Multiplex Hotel and Banquet’ at the feet of Mata Vaishno Devi in Katra.
Launched in 1965 by 17-year-old Fred DeLuca and financed by Peter Buck as Pete’s Super Submarines, the fast-food restaurant franchise was rebranded as Subway in 1972.
Currently, Subway has more than 37,000 restaurants in over 100 countries.
