Fast food owner booked for violating relaxation rules

SAMBA, Aug 2: Enforcing relaxation conditions and preventive measures issued by the DM Samba to contain the spread of COVID -19 in the district, Samba police today booked the owner of running fast food shop under relevant sections for violating relaxation conditions in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Vijaypur.
A police party of PS Vijaypur while performing patrolling in Vijaypur town booked a person namely Pardeep Singh, S/o Darshan Singh of Randhawa Colony, Vijaypur who was running his fast-food shop at Ward No. 12, Vijaypur beyond permitted time slot in the violation of relaxation conditions.
Later on while checking of the shop, a total of eight bottles of JK Special Whisky (180 ml each) including two empty bottles were also recovered which he used to sold to the general public at exorbitant rates to gain illegitimate profit.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 135/2020 US 188 IPC, 50 Excise Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and further investigation started.
