JAMMU, Dec 12: Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal today asked Revenue Department to fast track its computerization and up gradation process to modernize its functioning as part of the e- governance plan.
“Offices at District and Tehsil level should be modernized, provided latest technology besides developing a database for making the information about the revenue records easily accessible to the public,” he emphasized.
Chairing the periodic Committee of Secretaries (CoS) meeting here, Chief Secretary took brief on status of SKEWPY initiative. He stressed on providing support to facilitate youth in launching substantial livelihood earning units in MSME sector. “Departments should cooperate in facilitating youth to establish livelihood ventures and articulate their abilities”, he said.
The Committee also discussed matters pertaining to computerization and digitalization of accounts in case of PSUs, Result Framework Document, promotions of officers and vigilance clearance etc.
