SAMBA, Apr 4: The fast unto death launched by Sarpanch Koota, Kant Kumar Sharma at Koota near here entered the 3rd day today.
The Niab Sarpanch of the Panchayat Mela Ram along with Ram Dass and Sawaran Singh of the village also sat on chain hunger strike in support of the Sarpanch.
Addressing the gathering Kant Kumar said that they are demanding new tubewells for the villagers as old ones were not working properly. Meanwhile, Sarpanch Bharat Bushan Sharma, Vijay Tagotra, Bhola Nath and Madan Lal along with tehsil president of the Panthers Party Ashok Kumar also visited the Koota and supported the agitating sarpanch and others.
Tehsildar Hiranagar Amit Bhagat also visited the spot.
