UDHAMPUR, Dec 19: In a tragic road accident, a father and his son died when an Army vehicle hit their Motorcycle on the National Highway near Malhad Morh.
The deceased were identified as Saraj Din (45) son of Shamshu Din and his son Ramjan (22) of Malhad Udhampur.
The accident took place this morning when the motorcycle JK14A-8331, was hit by the Army vehicle. Some passersby rushed the victims to hospital where doctors declared both of them as brought dead.
Police seized the Army vehicle and registered a case in this connection at Rehmbal Police Station.
Meanwhile, driver of a tipper was injured when his vehicle rolled down in a gorge near Drownthal at Chenani today.
Police shifted injured to District Hospital Udhampur. He was identified as Vijay Kumar (27), son of Rumal Chand of Manwal Udhampur.
